![]() ![]() In no event shall the Corporation be authorized to levy ad valorem taxes. Furthermore, bonds or notes issued by the Corporation shall be deemed not to constitute a debt of the State, the City, or of any other political corporation, subdivision, or agency of the State or a pledge of the faith and credit or taxing power of any of them, but such bonds or notes shall be payable solely from the revenues pledged to the payment of such bonds or notes. The Corporation may, under the conditions set forth in the Acts and in the Resolution, issue, or provide for the issuance of, bonds or notes, acquire, lease, sell or convey certain properties, and enter into purchase agreements, lease agreements, credit agreements, operating agreements, management agreements, funding agreements, and all other agreements necessary or useful in connection with the Project provided that the Corporation shall not issue bonds or notes without the consent of the Council. The Mayor or City Council may request the BOAC to make reports to the general public on the 2012 Bond Projects on a one-time or regular basis. The BOAC shall meet at least quarterly to review information from applicable City Departments regarding the voter approved 2012 Bond Issue Projects (2012 Bond Projects) for the purpose of reporting periodically, in conjunction with City staff, but not less than twice a year, to the Mayor and Council on the status of progress of the 2012 Bond Projects. In performing the statutory duties, the ASAC shall provide guidance and advice to all of the animal shelters located within the City of El Paso, and when authorized by an Interlocal Agreement, the County of El Paso or other municipalities located within the County of El Paso, regarding compliance by the shelters with the requirements of Chapter 823, Texas Health and Safety Code and applicable state regulations shall annually prepare and provide written report to the City Council that provides information regarding the performance of the statutorily required duties by the ASAC. The ASAC shall perform those duties specified in Chapter 823, Texas Health and Safety Code, and applicable state regulations, as from time to time may be amended. The offices of Senior Corps are located at 801 Texas Ave. The purpose of the Advisory Council shall be to advise and assist the Project Sponsor (i.e., the City of El Paso) and Senior Corps staff. The AmeriCorps Seniors Advisory Council will be regulated by the bylaws approved in February 2020, as may be amended in accordance with Article VII of the bylaws. The Foster Grandparent’s Program (FGP) Advisory Council and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Advisory Council will now be known as the AmeriCorps Seniors Advisory Council as authorized by the City of El Paso and CFR 2553.24. ![]()
