![]() ![]() Only problem i had with it was the dumbass pathfinding. Idk i felt like it was pretty fluid and i actually had fun to where i kept thinking about it and kept playing in 2018. My point is that even in the modern day without all that stuff, the game still feels tedious as fuck. I was referring to back in the day with the disc version. Or just do inventory management while walking. > Anonymous Sat Jul 28 00:52:15 2018 No.4936723Īlso if youre that bad at bg1 theres a difficulty slider :). (On a literal toaster).Īnd i just played it a couple months ago for the first time. And idk about you but i played the original version from GoG and it loads quick as hell as in there basically is no loading. Its a little tough at first but its low level D&D. I haven't tried it but I can say that speed is really important near the end of the game because you really need to take out the spellcasters before they can do their damage. I heard swashbuckler is a good class to play in BG2. Plan on keeping him on the front whenever he gets his full abilities back. Yay or Nay? Being stuck as a fighter kinda suck, desu. How much more powerful can you start off BG2 if you play through BG1 first? > Anonymous Sat Jul 28 00:20:32 2018 No.4936683 I really want to import a BG1 party into BG2, but holy fuck this sucks. That game has much faster and better paced combat. Now I see why I ditched Baldurs Gate and just played Icewind Dale back in the day. Face it if you had a DM that pulled this shit you'd probably want to punch him in the throat. >for some reason a quest that revolves around an easy level 1 combat is in an area surrounded by much higher level monsters. >finally find the knolls who stole the guy's sword >look up their stats and realize they are clearly meant for a level 2 or 3 party, so I just avoid them >bergpost has none so I have to walk to some temple >agree to get perdue his sword because I need XP (iirc it's good to be level 2 by nashkel right?) Half the time I'm just waiting for my characters to walk to the other end of a map because I need to go and get something, only to run into an unwinnable combat or a "you have been waylayed by enemies" which half the time kills half your party before you even have time to react to it, and have to save scum and backtrack some more. I bought it way back in the day when it came on 5 (or was it 6) discs, and even without the disc swapping, slow load times and walking speeds, I can't bring myself to enjoy it. Now I'm trying to slog through baldurs gate 1 again. One of the best RPGs I've ever played (probably have to hand it to Fallout 2 for the GOAT though) ![]()
